Security: The Next Millennium Development Goal?

In this audio presentation from the 2013 International Security Forum, four analysts contemplate the fast-approaching expiration date of the UN Millennium Development Goals and what should follow in their wake. Unsurprisingly, they argue that 'new thinking' will be required when drafting a new generation of post-2015 goals, to include rejecting the one -size-fits-all approach of the previous ones and accounting for those security and governance issues that continue to affect human development. (Note: The speakers include Jean-Louis Arcand and Keith Krause, both from The Graduate Institute, Geneva, and Michael Gerber from the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. The discussant is Elisabeth Prügl, also from The Graduate Institute.)
