Looking Ahead: Managing Multiple Transitions
In this audio presentation from the 2013 International Security Forum, the three panelists review the overarching topic of the conference -- e.g., today's global political, economic and social transitions and the instabilities they create. Managing these multiple transitions and the numerous stakeholders they involve will obviously be a difficult task, particularly in the cases of further empowering international institutions and coping with decentralized terrorism. (Note: The panel participants include Tarja Halonen, who is the former President of Finland; noted SciencesPo terrorism expert Gilles Kepel, and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who is the Director General, United Nations Office at Geneva.)
