Public Policy and (Myths About) Terrorism

The recent Boston Marathon bombing proved again that terrorist activities sometimes have a high impact and defy prediction. However, many acts of terror produce no fatalities, are low-tech and are carried out by short-lived groups. The 10th biannual International Security Forum (ISF) occurred from 22-24 April in Geneva, Switzerland. As a sponsoring organization, we were able to support the conference’s overarching theme of ‘Facing a World of Transitions’ by co-sponsoring and hosting two panel discussions.
