The Overseas Development Institute is a leading independent think-tank on international development and humanitarian issues. The Strategic Policy Impact and Research Unit is the sucessor of the Economic and Statistical Analysis Unit and was established by the UK Department for Interntional Development to undertake research and analysis that advances the understanding of the processes of poverty reduction and pro-poor growth in contemporary global contexts as well as the design and implementation of policies that promote such objectives.
