Migration and Change in Rural Zambia
This paper focuses on the processes and implications of rural-urban migration in Zambia. It particularly assesses the impact of urbanization and out-migration on rural settings. It surveys the role of agriculture in rural livelihoods and identifies causes behind mass migrations. The final section discusses settlement schemes as a means to mitigate the effects of rural out-migration.
