How the Sino-Russian Boundary Conflict Was Finally Settled: From Nerchinsk 1689 to Vladivostok 2005 via Zhenbao Island 1969
This paper provides an overview of the historic boundary settlement between Russia and China over Nerchinsk. The paper considers the beginning of the territorial and boundary disputes and three and a half centuries of struggle over territory and dominance. The author highlights the importance of a peaceful resolution of a deeply conflicted dispute for both countries.
