Myanmar: Pangs of Democratic Transition

This paper attempts to go behind the scenes and determine just how far away Myanmar is from becoming a fully-fledged democracy. Particular areas of interest include the 2010 elections and their impact on society, how neighboring states view political developments within Myanmar, and how conditions such as these are helping shape the future trajectory of the country's democratic transition.
