Political Crisis in Romania
Perspectives for a Return to Normality
This commentary addresses issues surrounding the 2012 political crisis in Romania and perspectives for solutions. It argues that this turmoil causes acute damage to the country's international image and can erode its painstakingly achieved relative economic stability. While Romania's Euro-Atlantic commitments remain unchanged, the author foresees little easing of the domestic situation before autumn elections.
