Pacific Forum CSIS Comparative Connections

The Pacific Forum CSIS is a non-profit, private, foreign policy research institute that operates as the Asia-Pacific arm of the Center for Strategic and International Studies of Washington, DC. Founded in 1975, the thrust of the Forum's work is to help stimulate cooperative policies in the Asia-Pacific region through debate and analyses undertaken with the region's leaders in the academic, government and corporate arenas. The Forum's programs encompass current and emerging political, security, economic/business and ocean policy issues. The Comparative Connections is an electronic journal published by the Honolulu-based Pacific Forum CSIS. The journal, published on a quarterly basis, aims to interpret the significant issues driving political, economic and security affairs of the key bilateral relationships in the Asia-Pacific region. Each report (written by an expert in Asian affairs) has a focus on political/security developments and economic issues, and is accompanied by a chronology of significant events occurring between the states in question during the quarter.
