Structural Adjustment and Women Informal Sector Traders in Harare, Zimbabwe
This study assesses the impact of Zimbabwe's economic structural adjustment program (ESAP) on women informal sector traders in Harare. It identifies new household survival strategies developed as a consequence of ESAP. The authors conclude that ESAP in Zimbabwe caused social differentiation and impacted women in the informal sector disproportionately.
