President Putin as Prince Hamlet: A Political Leader Afraid of Taking Decisions
This article from Russia in Global Affairs discusses democratic developments in Russia. It examines the leadership of Yeltsin and Putin in the task of building a new Russia and highlights that despite numerous efforts, there has been little thought given to the general plan and façade of the Russian state. The author also considers the next step the leadership will take and argues that there is a fear that stems from the necessity of reappraising the path Russia has gone – a circular path – and the need to conclude and resolve these issues.
