Higher Educational Transformation in China and Its Global Implications
This paper analyzes the transformation of Chinese higher education that has been underway since 1999. The authors review the new committment to tertiary education and the organizational reform necessary to facilitate this. The potential impact on the future development of the economy of these reforms is also assessed.
