Taking Stock - Madrasa Reform in Pakistan
This report examines more closely the Pakistani madrasa sector and some of the common assumptions that are guiding the current debate. The authors argue that the madrasa debate is not premised on a fair description of reality. According to them, the madrasa sector is diverse. It concludes with suggestions for possible policy interventions and identify challenges and opportunities for madrasas reform.
