Muslim Brotherhood Organization in America
Goals, Ideologies, and Strategies
This lecture traces the history of the Muslim Brotherhood, founded in Egypt and spread around the globe, before focusing on the organization in the US context. The author identifies a split within the US government between those who think the organization is useful and those who think it is harmful. Another divide exists between the US and Europe. The author also examines US policy towards the Brotherhood, a policy which he describes as "engage but don't empower".
