Beyond the Poverty Agenda? Insights from the New Politics of Development in Uganda
The politics of development in Uganda has changed significantly in recent years, catalyzing a move away from a poverty agenda towards a focus on growth and structural transformation. The underlying drivers of this shift include Uganda’s declining reliance on traditional sources of aid, the return of multi-party politics, and the discovery of large oil reserves.
