Greening the Black Sea
Overcoming Inefficiency and Fragmentation Through Environmental Governance
The divergent economies of the Black Sea region, and their fragmented sectoral policies that are not compatible with environmental sustainability have accelerated the environmental degradation of the area. However, all is not lost as long as new cooperative initiatives emerge, reforms are attempted and funds are sufficiently allocated. The authors argue that there is a need for "greening" the Black Sea through environmental governance.
