A White Paper on Energy
This white paper sets out the UK government’s domestic and international energy strategy to respond to the changing circumstances of the global energy situation. The paper addresses the long-term energy challenges faced by the United Kingdom and also explains the government's four main energy policy goals. It sets out how the UK government is implementing the measures defined in the Energy Review Report of 2006, as well as those announced since then, including in the Pre-Budget Report of 2006 and the national budget of 2007.
