A Worrisome Blackout in India
In this paper, the author analyzes the reasons of a massive power outrage that affected three electricity grids covering the north, east and north-eastern regions in India, in July 2012. He points out that the power scarcity in the country, the poor financial conditions of the state electricity utilities and the governance and administration of these institutions should be taken into considerations.
