A Report on the Atlantic Council’s Workshop on How the Nexus Impacts Electric Power Production in the United States
This paper outlines the major themes and recommendations of the Atlantic Council meeting in 2011, which focused on thermal electric power production. The participants devised four key solutions to address the energy water nexus, including integrating the development of energy and water management policies, implementing innovative technologies, conserving energy and water resources, and instituting appropriate water pricing strategies.
