The Fulbe of Udubo Grazing Reserve
This paper examines pastoralist livelihoods in Nigeria. It focuses on the Fulbe pastoralists of the Udubo Grazing Reserve in Bauchi state in northern Nigeria. The author maintains that in order to increase agricultural and livestock production targets effectively and to stave off shortages, the government must formulate policies heeding an understanding of the pastoralist way of life.
