Foreign Direct Investment: Who Gains?
This paper accesses how Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) contributes to growth in developing countries. The study is based on research conducted on the effects of FDI on wages in five East Asian economies and the effects of foreign ownership in five African countries. The paper illustrates how the benefits of FDI are not equally distributed and details the policy implications of such inequities.
