This edition of Russian Analytical Digest examines the foreign trade and investment climate in Russia. The author of the first article assesses Russia’s long awaited entry into the World Trade Organization, analysing the process that led to membership and the likely implications for Russia’s development prospects. The author of the second article considers the investment and business climate in Russia, and examines the impact of the recent Duma and Presidential elections and accompanying mass protests on political risk in Russia.
