This handbook outlines the situation regarding small arms and light weapons (SALW) control in the Western Balkans. After discussing the general impact SALW have on communities and society, the handbook presents a summary of the origins of SALW problems within the Western Balkan and provides recommendations for parliamentarians on how to support SALW control. Summaries on the respective country's progress in SALW control can be found in the appendix.
