Food Inflation in the GCC Countries
This paper concerns the issue of rising food prices in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The authors address food inflation both in the region and worldwide in order to assess the impact this has on the GCC countries, and to find ways to counter the problem. It concludes with policy recommendations covering three main areas: monetary measures, fiscal and administrative measures and development strategies.
