EU Relations with "Emerging" Strategic Partners: Brazil, India and South Africa

This paper discusses strategic partnerships between the EU and emerging nations such as Brazil, India and South Africa. The author contends that these partnerships have been forged in a deliberately uncoordinated manner. All of the EU’s "emerging" strategic partners carry economic weight, but even more importantly, they have political weight and could potentially play important regional and/or global roles.
