Roundtable on Indigenous Legal Traditions
This paper summarizes a speech on indigenous legal traditions delivered at a roundtable discussion on a new aboriginal governance agenda – TANAGA in Canada. The speech mainly focuses on the maintenance of indigenous legal traditions in Canada in the presence of common law.
