Assessing the Economic Impact of Competition

This study uses cross-country comparisons to explore the impact of competition and competition policy on performance in four product markets. The countries - Zambia, Kenya, Ghana, Vietnam and Bangladesh - exhibited widely different policy frameworks and market structures, which facilitated some interesting comparisons. The research has generated a set of findings and policy recommendations for each country.
