Siachen: Too Slow a Solution
This brief discusses the India-Pakistan peace process concerning the glacial battlefield of Siachen. It provides background as to the origin of the conflict as well as the history of peace talks between the two nations. The author concludes that the two sides are so diplomatically entrenched over this and other issues that neither is willing to make the concessions required for a successful peace negotiation.
