This book discusses revamping the US-South Korea alliance for the 21st century. Chapters discuss the resiliency of the alliance and the burdens of cost sharing, debate the UN's role and consider inter-Korean relations and their respective domestic impacts. They also explore US-South Korea trade relations in an era of regionalism, South Korea's policies toward foreign direct investment (FDI), and strategies for promoting economic cooperation between North and South Korea.
