Hearing on Perspectives on the Crisis in Libya
The author testifies about the US approach to the 2011 civil war in Libya, and offers recommendations for its policy going forward. The author argues that the introduction of ground forces would be the only way to ensure the replacement of the Gaddafi regime. However, as he also argues, US interest in Libya do not warrant such an intervention and therefore the author suggests that the US should limit the intervention in Libya in what it seeks to accomplish and what it requires as far as military commitment.
