Syria’s Proliferation Challenge and the European Union’s Response
This paper aims to shed light on Syria’s WMD motivations and on how they fit in its security thinking and policy. The authors describe how its neighbors, enemies and the international community have addressed this matter; and explain why European Union policy on Syria has failed to take WMD considerations seriously and ultimately failed to influence Syrian decision making.
