This book discusses security sector oversight and evaluation mechanisms in the Western Balkans. It begins with a series of chapters focusing on individual countries in the Western Balkans, discussing their individual oversight mechanisms. Afterwards, there is a chapter comparing the systems of these countries and identifying some overarching characteristics. The almanac concludes with a description of the methodology used to rate the quality of oversight systems.
