Central Asia-Caucasus Analyst Vol 14, No 2
This edition includes analytical articles and field reports on security issues facing the Central Asia-Caucasus region in February 2012. These include the growing tensions between Iran and Israel with regard to Azerbaijan, the reestablishment of Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) bases in Northern Afghanistan, the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and Russian foreign policy towards Tajikistan. In addition, some shorter field reports provide accounts of Obama's plans to increase bilateral defense cooperation with Georgia, the arrest of opposition leaders following unrest in Kazakhstan and the Tajik government reshuffle.
