Privatization in the Republic of Kazakhstan
This paper finds that the scope of privatization in Kazakhstan has been restricted. Fifty-nine per cent of all state equity is in private ownership, most of which are small enterprises. The author laments the lack of economic restructuring, which hinders investment and increases productivity.
