South African Minerals
An Analysis of Western Dependence
This study examines the veracity of the thesis of western dependency on South African minerals. It examines world production, trade and consumption patterns to ascertain South Africa's key, but unlikely crucial role in the global mineral supply chain. The study also discusses alternatives to the South African model, and provides a review of one of the key issues in the economic sanctions debate against South Africa.
