Central Asia-Caucasus Analyst Vol 9, No 15
This issue of the Central Asia-Caucasus Analyst opens with four analytical articles on Russia’s 2007 suspensions of the Conventional Armed Forces in Europe Treaty (CFE) and its impact on the Caucasus’ frozen conflicts, efforts at conflict resolution in South Ossetia, the US military presence in Central Asia and social security in Turkmenistan. It also features four field reports on the role of politicians in state-building in the Turkic nations, competing Azerbaijani relations with the US and Iran, presidential politics in South Ossetia, and unethical parliamentary campaigning in Kazakhstan. The final pages furnish a news digest on the Central Asia-Caucasus region.
