Regional Working Group Meeting on Preventing Abuse of the Non-Profit Sector for the Purposes of Terrorist Financing (November 2011)

This discussion paper provides an overview of national efforts to regulate non-profit organizations in order to prevent the covert financing of terrorism in the Asia-Pacific region. It also explores opportunities for enhancing understanding and engagement among stakeholders. The paper highlights areas of consensus from previous meetings on preventing the abuse of the non-profit sector and flags issues for further consideration.
