Building a Sustainable Future for the Black Sea Area
New Perspectives & Challenges for BSEC
This paper argues that the global financial and economic crisis is having profound and long-lasting implications for the Black Sea area. In this context the member nations of the Organization for Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) require multilateral political and economic initiatives in order to prosper in the difficult years to come. This represents a new phase for the BSEC that will be characterized by a single overarching strategic approach under the aegis of sustainable development.
