Expert Evaluation Network Delivering Policy Analysis on the Performance of Cohesion Policy 2007-2013
This paper analyses the achievements of EU cohesion policy with respect to Luxembourg. The aim of cohesion policy is to reduce the regional disparities in incomes and opportunities in the EU. The Directorate General for Regional Policy of the European Commission (EC) is responsible for implementing the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Cohesion Fund in the 27 EU Member States. To this end, the Directorate General for Regional Policy has created a network of experts from the 27 EU countries to monitor and systematize the results of the evaluation exercises of community programmes financed by the ERDF and the Cohesion Fund and evaluate the policies of economic and territorial development of each Member State.
