Is a Transatlantic Defence Industry Increasingly on the Cards?
This roundtable report summarizes the proceedings of the SDA's January 2006 conference on the possibility of a transatlantic defense industry. The panelists discuss prospects for increased two-way trade across the Atlantic in defence equipment and technologies; the economic and political implications of transatlantic procurement policies; and the US-EU diplomatic impasse over Europe's declared intention of lifting its China arms embargo.
