Capital Requirements under Basel III in Latin America
The Cases of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru
This paper examines where four Latin American countries stand with respect to capital requirements of Basel III. It looks at Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru compares actual holdings of banks' regulatory capital with hypothetical calculations of regulatory capital under compliance with Basel III.
