Nigeria: Keystone of Africa

This article focuses on increased security risks in Western Africa, attributed to the US/NATO-led war in Libya in 2011. A historical background of colonialism and its consequences in the region is given. The author then argues that Nigeria's security in particular is crucial for African stability and advocates for increased attention from the international community to prevent conflict escalation in the country.
