A Compilation of Texts
This paper furnishes a catalog of primary human rights texts material relevant to Africa. It lists the Charter of the UN; the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights; the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights; the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights; and the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, Aiming at the Abolition of the Death Penalty. It also features treaties and texts within the frameworks of the African Union (AU), the League of Arab States and the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).
