Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ)
The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) is an independent, nonprofit organization founded by a group of US foreign correspondents in response to the brutal treatment of journalists by authoritarian governments. The organization is dedicated to promoting press freedom worldwide by defending the rights of journalists to report the news without fear of reprisal.
