The Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) was created by an international treaty with the goal to overcome the legal and judicial insecurities in its member states. OHADA is open to all members of the African Union; its current seventeen members are Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Côte d'Ivoire, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Niger, Republic of the Congo, Senegal, and Togo.
