Public Opinion, Foreign Policy and the 2012 Presidential Elections
The current US presidential campaign is primarily being fought on economic issues, with foreign policy being only a secondary concern. This hierarchy confirms that the American electorate is increasingly looking inward and becoming less internationalist, argues Corwin Smidt.
