In this video, Joseph Yun, who is the acting Assistant Secretary for East Asian and Pacific Affairs at the US Department of State, explains why the US does not have a formal position on the various disputes and claims that exist in the South China Sea region. He also talks about the Code of Conduct that has been proposed to regulate the behavior of states in the area.
