Managing Tensions in the South China Sea: Recent Developments in the South China Sea
In this video, four experts talks about the status of the South China Sea region in 2012-2013. Some of the topics they cover include competing sovereignty claims in the area, the standoff between China and the Philippines over the Scarborough Shoal, Taiwan's policies toward and within the region, and China's relations with ASEAN and other powers. (Note: The speakers include Dr Wu Shicun, who is the President of the National Institute for South China Sea Studies; Professor Renato De Castro from De La Salle University; Dr Yann-Huei Song from the Institute of European American Studies; and Dr Tran Truong Thuy, the Director of the South China Sea Studies Program at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.)
