US Foreign Policy and the Presidential Election
In this video, CIGI's David Welch discusses US foreign policy with Professor Philip Brenner (American University). The conversation turns on the perceived contrasts, or lack thereof, between the two 2012 US presidential candidates, and on US foreign relations with the Middle East, Latin America, China, and Cuba. In the first case, Professor Brenner concludes that President Obama's understanding of the limits of US power and his greater willingness to cooperate globally are contrastable to Mitt Romney's more aggressive approach to foreign relations.
