China's Impact on Conflict and Fragility in South Asia
This report looks at China’s expanding engagement across South Asia and its implications for the region’s most fragile states. China has interests in and engages with Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal thereby shaping conflict dynamics and prospects for sustainable peace. The report finds that the primary factor shaping China’s engagement across South Asia is its rivalry with India.
